Privacy Policy

The Short Version ☕

We don't collect your personal data. We don't have accounts, logins, or backend servers. Everything runs in your browser.

The site is free and paid for by a single small ad in the top bar. Because our apps are made for kids, every ad request is tagged as child-directed, so the ads you see are not personalised and are not based on any profile of you.

No Backend Services

cffy.in is a collection of purely client-side web applications. All processing happens entirely within your web browser. We do not operate any backend servers, databases, or APIs that receive, store, or process your personal information.

Any data you enter into our apps (e.g. vocabulary progress in German Trainer, game scores in Bridge Builder Math) is stored only in your browser's local storage on your own device. We never have access to this data. Clearing your browser data will remove it.

No Accounts or Personal Information

We do not require or offer user accounts, sign-ups, email collection, or any form of registration. We do not collect names, email addresses, or any other personally identifiable information.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics (measurement ID: G-GJZMWKQY28) to understand how visitors use the site — specifically, which pages are visited and general traffic patterns. Google Analytics may collect:

• Pages viewed and time spent on pages
• Approximate geographic location (country/city level, based on IP address)
• Browser type, device type, and operating system
• Referring website or source

This data is aggregated and anonymous — we cannot and do not identify individual users. Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish unique visitors. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by disabling cookies in your browser settings.

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to show a single, narrow banner ad in the top navigation bar. Google and its advertising partners may set cookies or read device identifiers in order to serve and measure those ads, and to detect fraudulent traffic.

Because cffy.in is aimed at children, every ad request from this site is tagged for child-directed treatment. This instructs Google to disable interest-based advertising and remarketing for our pages: ads are contextual and non-personalised, and are not selected using any profile of the visitor.

We never share anything with advertisers ourselves — we have no data to share. We do not see who clicks an ad, and we receive only aggregate earnings figures from Google.

If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, you will be asked for your consent choices before any personalised advertising cookies are used, via a Google-certified consent management platform.

Cookies

cffy.in itself does not set any cookies. However, two Google services do: Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*) to measure site usage, and Google AdSense may set cookies to serve ads, limit how often you see the same ad, and detect invalid traffic. You can block or delete these in your browser settings; the apps themselves will keep working.

Third-Party Services

Besides Google Analytics and Google AdSense, some apps may load resources from third-party CDNs (such as Tailwind CSS, fonts, or JavaScript libraries). These services may log standard web request data (IP address, user agent) according to their own privacy policies. We do not control or have access to any data collected by these third parties.

Children's Privacy

Our educational apps are designed to be safe for users of all ages. We do not collect any personal data, and no personal information is requested, collected, or shared. In addition, every advertising request from this site is tagged for child-directed treatment, which disables interest-based advertising and remarketing across the whole site — see the Advertising section above.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Given the minimal data practices of this site, significant changes are unlikely.
