Lern mit mir! drills the core German vocabulary that actually turns up in everyday speech — roughly 180 of the most common nouns, verbs, adjectives and connectives, from der Mann and die Zeit through to entsprechen and vielleicht. There is no course to enrol in and no lesson plan to follow. You open it and start typing.
Under the surface it runs a five-box Leitner system, the classic paper-flashcard method for spaced repetition. Every word starts in box one. Answer it correctly and it moves up a box; get it wrong and it drops back down. The trainer always asks from the lowest box that still has words in it, so the vocabulary you keep fumbling comes back often while the words you have genuinely learned fade into the background. The progress bars show how much of your vocabulary has climbed into each box.
Your progress is saved in your own browser and nowhere else. There is no account, no sign-in and no sync — clearing your browser data resets you to box one.
